Verification Engineer

As Verification engineer your primary responsibilities are to develop and implement comprehensive test plans for hybrid [SIP and analog interface] PBX telephone systems and Windows-based applications.

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, execute and track results for test plans and test cases for functional testing and performance, and stress testing
  • Utilize and integrate the latest Windows hardware and software, in combination with customer software products to perform your tests
  • Identify, document, and track software defects found during testing
  • Work closely with developers to ensure defects are correctly identified, fixed, and incorporated into application releases
  • Provide comprehensive work summaries and test result reports

Required Skills

  • A degree or technical diploma in computer science, computer technology or related field
  • Strong knowledge of PBX concepts and feature sets [SIP, Analog, XML and HTTP protocols]
  • Knowledge of general QA procedures and testing methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to logically and analytically perform tasks
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and communicate well with other departments
  • Ability to work on assigned tasks under tight time constraints

Desired Skills

  • Ability to understand overall product solutions and apply strong ‘black box’ testing strategies
  • Experience configuring, installing, and/or troubleshooting PC/server software and hardware in a Window
  • Experience in testing product for international markets
  • Working knowledge of client-server architecture
  • Prior use of automated software test tools
  • Ability to read/write French and Spanish
