Instructions for installing software version 3.13

Release 3.13 is a recommended maintenance release for TalkSwitch 24 and 48-NLS products (no longer shipping), and TalkSwitch 48-CA units networked with 48-NLS units, in use in the United States and Canada. This update includes a new version of the TalkSwitch Configuration software bundled with new TalkSwitch firmware. Note: All units need to be updated with firmware version 2.53 for 48-NLS units and 3.13 for 48-CA units, to ensure compatibility when networked on a LAN. Instructions for updating both the software and the firmware are included below.

Instructions for installing software version 3.13

Step 1: Download the 3.13.072 software. The download includes the software, firmware and documentation.

Step 2: Run the installer TCS313072.exe program. If a previous version of the software is installed, the following dialog will pop-up and request to uninstall a previous version. Click 'OK'.

Step 3: A confirmation dialog will pop-up and request if you want to uninstall this product. Select 'Yes'.

This will remove the older version of the software. Note: Your saved configuration files will not be removed.

Once complete, the following dialog will confirm the operation was successful.

Step 4: The TalkSwitch Installation Wizard will appear. Click 'Next' to proceed with the installation. Follow the Installation Wizard directions to complete the installation.

Instructions for updating TalkSwitch firmware RELEASE 3.13

In order to take advantage of new features, you need to update the firmware of your TalkSwitch unit(s). This process will require that the system not be in use for approximately 5-15 minutes.

Step 1: Ensure TalkSwitch is connected to your PC or to the same LAN as your PC. For TalkSwitch 48-CA and 48-NLS models, connection via Ethernet will result in the quickest update.

Step 2: Run the newly installed TalkSwitch Configuration 3.13 software. A dialog will pop-up informing you that there is a new update. Click 'Update Now' to proceed with the update.

The program will then update all required files with status information relayed at every step.

Step 3: Once complete, you will have the option to reboot the system now or if it's in use, to wait until all resources are locked down before the system reboots. Click 'Proceed' to continue.

A dialog will appear with a timer while the system(s) reboot.

Once complete the software will open to the main configuration page. Please check your configuration settings to ensure all settings are correct.
